Bike Park les 2 Alpes

2 Alpes Bike Park

Looking for a playground that matches your passion for mountain biking? Les 2 Alpes Bike Park is made for you.

Located between 900 and 3,200 meters altitude in the Oisans massif, this domain is one of the largest and most renowned in Europe.

Whether you're an experienced rider chasing extreme sensations or a beginner looking to take your first downhill runs in a safe environment, Les 2 Alpes has everything you need all summer long.

Overview of Les 2 Alpes Bike Park

Les 2 Alpes Bike Park is not just another resort bike park: it’s a true adventure playground designed for all riders, from beginners to experts.

In terms of numbers, the domain speaks for itself. From the summit at 3,200 meters, riders have over 2,300 meters of vertical drop to reach the valley at 900 meters.

In total: more than 138 km of marked trails across 29 runs (green, blue, red, black and elite), 3 enduro tracks and 6 e-MTB routes.

Four lifts allow fast uplift and continuous laps.

The reputation of Les 2 Alpes Bike Park is well established across Europe. The resort hosts major events every year such as the Mountain of Hell, Urban DH and Girls Shredding Days.

It counts renowned professional riders among its ambassadors: Adrien Loron, Isabeau Courdurier and Hugo Frixtalon.

A team of 6 shapers and 8 bike patrollers works daily to maintain and secure the trails throughout the season.

Opening dates and schedule

The MTB season in Les 2 Alpes runs from April 11 to August 30, 2026.
It is divided into several phases to suit all riders depending on the period:

The pre-opening phase (from April 11 to May 3, 2026) kicks off the season with the opening of the Venosc sector. It’s the perfect opportunity to ride down the Venosc red trail and the formidable elite black trail, Black Garden, with a return to the resort via the Venosc gondola. On April 11 and 12, the Black Garden Party sets the tone for the season in a festive and friendly atmosphere.

The weekends in May and June provide access to all sectors — Diable, Venosc and Jandri — ahead of the full opening.

  • May 8–10;

  • May 14–17;

  • May 23–25;

  • May 30–31;

  • June 6–7

MTB access to 3200 is available on Saturdays and Sundays only.

The main summer season begins on June 13 and runs until August 30, 2026, with the entire MTB area open. Lift operations generally run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but it is recommended to check real-time schedules on the official website or via the resort’s webcams, especially in case of specific weather conditions.

Trails and difficulty levels

One of the main strengths of Les 2 Alpes Bike Park is its ability to welcome all rider profiles.

Beginners

3 green and 6 blue trails for safe progression.

The Vallée Blanche sector is the beginner hub: the learning area has doubled in size.

The Easy to Ride zone (Vikings magic carpet), free in the resort, allows riders to practice features without pressure.

The pump track completes the offer.

Intermediate riders

8 red trails available.

Diable and Venosc sectors combine flow, vertical drop and technical features without going extreme.

The Venosc trail is one of the first to open — and clearly worth it.

Expert riders

3 black trails and 2 elite trails.

Black Garden is a benchmark in Alpine DH.

Highway to Heaven offers a unique experience: riding on snow from 3,200 to 2,600 meters in morning freshness.

The new La 3200 trail delivers more flow and vertical drop at the summit.

Freeride zones, berms and modules are spread across the domain.

Commencal has installed a competition-style double step down on the Diable trail — now highly Instagrammable.

Additional services on-site

The Les 2 Alpes Bike Park is more than just its trails. The resort offers a full range of services to make your stay as smooth as it is enjoyable.

Bike rental:

Several sports shops in the resort offer a wide selection of bikes for rent: full-suspension DH bikes, enduro bikes, and electric mountain bikes, along with equipment for younger riders. Perfect if you're travelling without your own bike or simply want to try out a different model.

MTB school:

The MTB instructors at Les 2 Alpes offer private and group lessons, beginner courses, and freeride sessions to help you progress at your own pace. The beginner area at Vallée Blanche works closely with the Bike Park team to ensure high-quality instruction. Instructors regularly exchange feedback with bike patrollers to continuously improve and refine the learning experience.

On the comfort side, eco-friendly bike wash stations allow you to clean your bike after each run, using systems that consume 80–90% less water thanks to air-powered technology. You’ll also find food spots and chill areas to relax between laps, including the Le 3200 at the top, offering stunning views over the high-altitude domain.

Bike wash stations:

Several wash stations are available across the resort: at Vallée Blanche, at Jandri, and near the Diable lift, so you can quickly clean your bike between runs.

Tool stations:

In addition to wash stations, the Bike Park provides multiple tool stations across key areas of the domain:

  • Vallée Blanche

  • Diable

  • Venosc

They are clearly marked on the official map and easily accessible via the Les 2 Alpes app.

Need to pump a tyre, adjust your saddle, or tighten something mid-session? These stations are designed to handle minor issues without interrupting your ride. No need to head back to the resort or wait at a workshop — fix it on the spot and keep riding.

Each station is equipped with the essentials for quick repairs: pump, Allen keys, and basic tools. The goal isn’t to replace a full workshop, but to keep you autonomous on the mountain.

Access is free for all Bike Park riders, with one simple goal: minimize downtime and maximize your time on the trails.

Experience & atmosphere at the Bike Park

Riding at the Les 2 Alpes Bike Park is much more than just a downhill run — it’s a full-on experience set in an exceptional natural environment. From the summit at 3,200 metres, the views over the Écrins Massif and Belledonne Massif are simply breathtaking. The flow of the trails, freshly shaped by the team and ambassadors Adrien Loron and Hugo Frixtalon, with the support of the Back in Bike, makes you want to go again and again.

The vibe at the Bike Park is all about community. Riders from all over come together every summer — from teenagers hitting their first turns to seasoned competitors. A packed event calendar keeps the resort buzzing throughout the season:

  • The Mountain of Hell: Europe’s most iconic mass-start downhill race, where hundreds of riders charge down from the glacier at the same time.

  • The Girls Shredding Days: dedicated sessions for women, built around an inclusive and supportive atmosphere.

  • The Urban DH: a spectacular race right through the heart of the village, drawing thousands of spectators every year.

Riders consistently highlight the quality of the domain. The mix of technical trails, incredible flow, and a unique high-mountain setting clearly sets it apart from other Alpine bike parks.

Safety & recommendations

Downhill mountain biking is a demanding sport. The Les 2 Alpes Bike Park takes safety very seriously — and so should you. Here are the key rules to follow to make the most of the domain while staying safe:

Mandatory & recommended equipment:

  • Goggles are required on all lifts.

  • Knee pads, elbow pads, long gloves, and a back protector are strongly recommended.

  • Don’t hesitate to walk sections and assess difficult features before riding them.

  • Follow all signage and stay on marked trails.

  • Riders downhill always have priority.

For families with children, green and blue trails, along with the Vallée Blanche beginner area, provide a safe and progressive environment to get started. The Easy to Ride zone in the resort (free access) is perfect for a first introduction.
