A magical immersion in the heart of the 2 Alpes ice cave
Nestled at the top of the 2 Alpes ski area, facing the most beautiful peaks of the Ecrins National Park, enter an extraordinary place, where cold and beauty meet.
To get there from the station take a ride on the cable car Jandri to the foot of the 2 Alpes glacier, then climb up the funicular for a traverse under the glacier up to 3400m. At the exit, the ice cave awaits your visit!
Visit ice cave accessible from early December to late August, almost non-stop, is shaped by 2 mountain guides to create a world of wonder.
You enter a 200m-long tunnel where you'll be instantly captivated by the icy sculptures adorning the walls, similar to ephemeral works of art ranging from majestic statues to detailed motifs. The interior of the grotto seems like a parallel world, where the play of light filtering through the ice and the sparkle of the crystals create an enchanting atmosphere.
Admiring this fabulous universe of ice is like an invitation to experience a moment of pure magic, a return to nature's roots in a breathtaking setting.
